Sunchine Inspection is appointed by the Central Organization for Standard Quality Control (COSQC) in Iraq as one approved and authorized third party inspection agency to supervise under the ICIGI Program the Pre-Inspection, testing and issuing certificates of Conformity for the goods imported into Iraq before shipment.
Implemented in 2011 and regularly up-dated the Pre-Import inspection, Testing and Certification program (ICIGI) stipulates that all shipments of Regulated Products has to be accompanied by a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) and a Release Note to clear the shipments at the Ports/Borders of Iraq and be authorized enter their products into Iraq. Shipments without the requisite Certificate of Conformity and/ or other prerequisite documents shall be subject to rejection by Iraqi authorities. Only conformity Assessment bodies approved and licensed by COSQC such as Sunchine Inspection are authorized to issue the Certificate of Compliance (CoC).
The COSQC-ICIGI Inspection, Testing & Certification programme entails but is not limited to Food, Detergents, Chemicals, Lubricants, Plastic and Rubber Products, Toys, Baby Care Items, Cosmetics, Perfumery and Personal Care Products, Electronic and Electrical Appliances and Equipment, Kitchenware, Construction and Building Materials, Hardware, Fire Extinguishers, Vehicle Spare parts and Tires, Clothing and Textile, conformity assessment and physical inspection of the goods to be conducted in the country of origin of the goods and shipment should be reverified at it arrival at Iraq borders/ports by COSQC approved inspection body’s EPO (point of entry) local team to confirm that the container was not damaged or altered, authenticate the goods and ensure shipment consistency with the CoC certificate and import documentation. Upon satisfactory control completion Sunchine Inspection EPO team will issue a Release Note which shall be provided together with the CoC certificate to Iraqi Customs to ensure smooth clearance process.
