On December 10, 2025, at the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization (GSO) 2025 Notified Body (NB) Working Group meeting held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, Sunchine Inspection was officially authorized to become a formal member of GSO’s Notified Body (Organization Code: NB 0082)!
François Shi, General Manager of Sunchine Inspection, and Daisy Zhu, Assistant to the General Manager, were invited to attend the meeting and witnessed this important moment!
Sunchine Inspection has officially obtained the official authorization from the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization (GSO), becoming a Notified Body for the seven countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This key authorization marks another strategic breakthrough for Sunchine Inspection in the field of international compliance services!
GSO (Gulf Standardization Organization) is the official regional standards body under the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Its members include the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Yemen—seven countries in total. Its primary functions include developing unified Gulf standards, managing market access certification systems (such as the G-Mark), and coordinating standardization activities among member states. GSO technical regulations cover multiple product categories, with current focus areas including low-voltage electrical equipment (such as consumer electronics and household appliances) and toys, among others. Products must comply with GSO regulations and bear the G-Mark to enter the Gulf market.
Sunchine Inspection has now been authorized in two key regulatory areas—Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment (LVE) and Toys—to provide official GCC Type Examination conformity certification services. GCC certification is a mandatory market access requirement for products entering all Gulf member states.
Certified products will be awarded the G-Mark (Gulf Conformity Mark), which serves as proof that the products fully comply with the GSO’s unified technical regulations. It provides legal clearance and sales assurance for smooth entry and distribution in the Gulf market.
