• from a client point of view (QC on what you sell), noone wants to invest in a bad quality product/service; failing on QC will kill your authority on your market (reviews are everywhere nowadays), lose your current clients and act as a turnoff for your potential clients;
• from a supplier point of view (QC on what you buy), lacking a relevant QC will make you: return products to your supplier, maybe have products shortages in your production (esp. if supplier is far away and new products have to be back by boat), etc…
